Job summary

GSK in London is seeking a Senior Director - Data, AI & Infrastructure Procurement to lead global sourcing, manage a spend around £300m, and shape category strategies across regions. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in supply chain, Business or Finance.
  • Experience in procurement.
  • Experience developing and delivering multi-year business strategies to achieve commercial objectives and competitive advantage.
  • Experience managing the delivery of multiple large projects using project and change management skills.
  • Experience assessing business value, priorities, implementation risks, and market drivers to inform category strategies and decision‑making.
  • Experience influencing and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders globally, while managing supplier relationships and assessing external market dynamics to support business objectives.
  • Experience applying analytical, written, and verbal communication skills in professional environments.
  • Experience applying negotiation and conflict resolution techniques.

Responsibilities

Senior Director - Data, AI & Infrastructure Procurement
Job Purpose

Global Procurement supports the ambitions of GSK by leading procurement initiatives on behalf of GSK business units and operations, enabling the delivery of our products through the entire procurement to pay cycle to the end customer - our patients and consumers.

Additional responsibilities
  • Builds and delivers Strategic Sourcing strategies that deliver the highest quality service and supply while significantly impacting cost savings across business units or supply network

Responsibilities
  • Manage a spend around £300m by creating comprehensive global category strategies, operating with a truly global and strategic mindset
  • Have a clear understanding of how global strategies affect other categories, business units and regions and build the appropriate education & communication process
  • Create compelling business cases for change and obtain approval to execute from GSK Digital & Tech and/or other support functions (Finance, HR) senior management, and to agree how benefit delivery will be budgeted
  • Deliver global benefits identified in strategies through effective strategy execution, aligned to assurance of supply (risk management), compliance, quality, service, cost and innovation
  • Lead complex negotiation with Tech suppliers that will allow GSK to maximise opportunity globally
  • Build strategic relationships with a network of senior Tech global stakeholders, to understand business requirements, identify opportunities to create value and to position Procurement’s value proposition. Align category strategies accordingly.
  • Build strategic relationships with key suppliers at a senior level and lead processes to ensure value is driven from these relationships
  • Lead and direct category teams within scope of responsibility
  • Build the organizational capabilities necessary to implement GSK strategy, now and in the future.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in supply chain, Business or Finance.
  • Experience in procurement.
