Job summary

AAVantgarde Bio, based in the United Kingdom, seeks a Senior Director, Clinical Strategy and Operational Excellence to join the CMO’s office and act as a trusted advisor and strategic project manager. You will coordinate cross-functional initiatives, manage team finances, and liaise with internal and external stakeholders to drive clinical development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree minimum; advanced degree advantageous.
• Experience in biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry.
• Experience leading cross-functional programs and teams.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the CMO team to define, prioritize, and drive key initiatives aligned with clinical and business objectives.
• Provide insights, analysis, and recommendations to support decision-making and organizational alignment.
• Manage day-to-day operations of the CMO’s office and track milestones and KPIs.
• Facilitate cross-department collaboration to align timelines, goals, and resources.
• Represent the CMO in key meetings and synthesize critical information.
• Oversee budgets for clinical operations, medical affairs, and related functions.
• Develop financial forecasts and action plans to ensure fiscal alignment.
• Draft executive materials and lead communications with stakeholders and partners.
• Coordinate with leadership to ensure accountability and governance across programs.
• Lead or support special projects and monitor regulatory and market developments.
