Job summary

Alnylam Pharmaceuticals is seeking an imaginative physician drug developer to provide clinical leadership in RNAi therapeutics. The Senior Director, Clinical Research will drive pipeline development, primarily as clinical lead on Huntington’s program, with potential involvement in other areas across development stages.

The role requires strategic leadership across Regulatory, Biostatistics, Clinical Operations, and Commercial teams within a matrix structure, acting as a development spokesperson

Qualifications

• MD with strong research background and peer-reviewed publications.
• 10+ years industry or clinical academic experience.
• Experience leading Phase 2/3 programs and interactions with Health Authorities.
• Familiarity with clinical trial design, biostatistics, and regulatory practices.
• Ability to present complex medical concepts clearly in writing and orally.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for clinical programs and Huntington’s Disease focus.
• Lead development programs to secure global regulatory approvals.
• Oversee trial conduct and safety.
• Collaborate with Preclinical, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, and Commercial teams for integrated plans.
• Ensure timely deliverables and quality of regulatory submissions and publications.
• Review protocols, IBs, and informed consent forms for final approval.
• Influence internal and external stakeholders with high impact communications.
