Job summary

Gartner, Inc. is seeking a Senior Director to lead within the Business and Technology Insights (BTI) group. You will craft innovative, must-have insights content, drive thought leadership, and provide actionable guidance to clients and vendors.

You will mentor peers and collaborate across a global, matrixed team while engaging executives and stakeholders. You will develop in-depth market analyses, predict trends, and deliver impactful presentations at Gartner events and client briefings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; Graduate degree preferred.
• 12+ years of relevant field or industry experience.
• Expertise in data architecture and data operations.
• Expertise in database or data integration practices.
• Experience in AI-ready data management approaches.
• Experience with using agents in data management processes.
• Executive presence; credibility with executives and stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills; able to meet tight deadlines and deliver high-quality work.
• Excellence in research and writing; strong communication and presentation skills.
• Able to analyze data and apply patterns and frameworks to client challenges.
• Comfort presenting at large and small-scale engagements.
• Strong business and financial acumen.
• Knowledge of global competitive landscape within the subject area.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural global team.
• Learning agility; adept in matrixed environments.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Create innovative, thought-provoking, and highly leveraged content for insights.
• Develop new insights through thought leadership and actionable approaches.
• Analyze root causes of client barriers and reframe thinking to drive strategy.
• Demonstrate thought leadership and contribute to research agenda.
• Research, analyze, and predict market trends for clients and vendors.
• Provide actionable advice aligned to content area via virtual or in-person meetings.
• Create high-value presentation materials for Gartner events and client briefings.
• Support BTI and Sales with market voice to drive engagement.
• Peer review content for quality and credibility.
• Be a mentor and coach to junior team members.
• Collaborate with the Insights community to improve processes.
• Represent Gartner’s research methodology effectively at all levels.
