Job summary

Royal London is seeking a Senior Solutions / Enterprise Architect (Digital) to lead architecture across our customer-facing digital landscape. You will shape target architectures for web, mobile, identity and CRM, while coaching other architects and aligning with business strategy.

You will drive roadmaps, ensure security and cost discipline, and collaborate with stakeholders across product, engineering and delivery to enable seamless customer journeys.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as a solution, enterprise, portfolio or product architect in a customer-facing Digital environment.
• Experience defining target architectures, roadmaps and guardrails for large Digital portfolios.
• Experience leading, coaching or managing solution architects.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end enterprise, solution, integration, data and cloud architecture.
• Knowledge of API-led integration, cloud-native architectures, resilience and security.
• Experience with Azure cloud technologies.
• Good understanding of modern digital platform ecosystems (CRM, content, SaaS, APIs, CMS).
• Experience incorporating AI into business or technology transformations.
• Strong stakeholder management and executive communication.

Responsibilities

• Shape and assure architecture across the Digital portfolio and major programmes.
• Translate customer needs into practical, scalable architecture.
• Define target architectures, transition states, roadmaps and guardrails.
• Coach, mentor and line-manage solution architects.
• Engage with senior business stakeholders and committees.
• Balance innovation, resilience, security and cost in technology choices.
