Murphy is recruiting for a Senior Digital Coordinator to work with Murphy Applied Engineering. Our engineering teams encompass a range of disciplines, adding value across sectors, and advancing digital construction, engineering innovation, and design to deliver sustainable solutions.

Under Murphy Applied Engineering, our in-house teams include civil, structural, mechanical, geotechnical, and process engineers. They design both permanent and temporary works and serve as trusted advisors for colleagues and clients.

A day in the life of a Murphy Senior Digital Coordinator

1. Lead technician on multiple projects, supervising the coordination, production, checking, and approval of technical drawings/models.
2. Review drafting requests, propose solutions, and prepare cost estimates for clients.
3. Produce monthly forecasts for technician workload and resource planning.
4. Identify recruitment needs and manage the recruitment process for technicians.
5. Advise colleagues on software and technical matters.
6. Conduct professional development reviews and mentoring.
7. Organize training for technicians supported by the digital team.
8. Apply technical knowledge of existing and emerging technologies.
9. Ensure compliance with BIM standards (BS EN ISO 19650).
10. Develop workflows and update CAD standards with support from the Digital Manager.
11. Perform quality audits to ensure standards compliance.
12. Manage JMS CAD standards and serve as a super user for JMS software.
13. Coordinate BIM activities per project plans.
14. Utilize mapping and GPS technologies effectively.
15. Maintain document control and information management best practices.
16. Produce various drawing types and 3D models as required.

Ideal Candidate

• Extensive experience as a Senior Technician.
• Proficient with Autodesk Navisworks, ReCap, or Bentley software.
• Skilled in at least two of: Civil 3D, Plant 3D, Revit, MicroStation, SolidWorks, Inventor.
• Experience in utility/marine pipeline sectors preferred.
• Knowledge of BIM workflows (BS EN ISO 19650).
• Experience with Projectwise or similar data management software.
