Digital Health and Care Wales is seeking a Senior Digital Communications Officer to lead the communications team. This role focuses on developing engaging digital content, managing communication strategies, and enhancing stakeholder engagement through various channels. Candidates should have experience in digital communications and a degree in a related field.
Job summary
A Senior Digital Communications Officer will work with the Communications Team to develop, deliver and evaluate digital communications activities which support the objectives of DHCW's communications strategy, and effectively informs and engages a range of stakeholders with the work of DHCW.
As a Senior Digital Communications Officer, you will:
o Work within the DHCW Communications Team and lead on internal and external communications, content development, social media, events and website management.
o Be adept at writing engaging copy for all digital communications channels and understand the value of developing rich content by using video, audio, photography and animation. Creativity and the ability to convey messages in a clear and engaging way are essential.
o Be at the heart of helping DHCW explain its work and its impact, developing key messages and engaging content through a range of digital formats, including social media and video, to reach our stakeholders and target audiences. You will have the knowledge and experience to know the best approach to meet their brief and objectives.
Main duties of the jobo Work across the full range of communications channels to ensure the effective delivery of information and project communications. The role is wideranging, encompassing the timely co-ordination of communications through a range of digital channels to ensure ease of access, clarity and consistency. You will work closely with DHCW's Content Designers to ensure our approach to digital communications across channels is aligned and takes a user-centred design approach.
o Have the ability to develop and implement digital strategies that align with organisational goals and drive engagement. DHCW's work spans across the whole of NHS Wales, requiring us to communicate and engage across several different organisations. As a digital organisation, our digital communications play a vital role in delivering our key messages.

We work in partnership with NHS Wales colleagues and other key stakeholders to provide national digital and data services which support the delivery of health and social care in Wales.
