Job summary

IC Resources is seeking a Senior Digital ASIC Design Engineer to join its engineering team in Whiteley. You will work on complex ICs from specification through to pre-silicon validation, combining hands-on design, simulation and low-level programming.

The role involves reviewing RTL, running simulations, writing low-level code, and collaborating with design, software and hardware teams to deliver next-generation products.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of digital ASIC design and RTL.
• Experience with chip simulation and pre silicon validation.
• Experience working with chip databases or similar design environments.
• Low level programming experience, ideally including Assembler.
• Ability to work from detailed technical specifications and investigate design issues.
• Good understanding of digital systems and how they operate at chip level.
• Mixed signal IC experience would be beneficial, exposure to analogue and digital interaction.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and developing RTL against technical specifications.
• Running chip simulations and pre silicon screening.
• Writing low level code, including Assembler, to exercise chip functionality.
• Supporting the definition of new features for next generation products.
• Investigating issues across digital and mixed signal areas.
• Working closely with engineers across design, software and hardware.
