Job summary
University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust is recruiting a Senior Specialist Dietitian to join our Tier 3 Specialist Weight Management Team in Coventry. You will provide specialist dietetic care, lead complex caseloads, and work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based nutrition interventions.
The role offers opportunities to contribute to service development, audits and CPD, with supervision of dietetic staff and students.
Qualifications
- Dietitian providing evidence-based nutrition care.
- Experience in multidisciplinary assessment and treatment planning.
- Strong commitment to CPD and staff supervision.
Responsibilities
- Carry out dietetic/nutritional assessments and interpret clinical data to determine nutritional diagnosis.
- Develop and evaluate treatment plans, including enteral or parenteral nutrition where required.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic patient care.
- Evaluate progress and adjust plans with senior clinician guidance.
- Communicate nutrition information clearly to staff, patients and carers.
- Contribute to department audits and service development; support CPD.
- Train and supervise student dietitians; mentor colleagues.
