Job summary

North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 6 Specialist Dietitian for the Tier 3 Weight Management Service in Wigton. You will deliver clinical dietetic care to patients individually and in groups within an MDT setting.

The role involves input to MDT meetings, patient education, and contributing to service development and quality assurance, with potential for independent prescribing training.

Qualifications

• Degree in Dietetics and HCPC registration are essential.
• Independent prescribing qualification or willingness to work towards is desirable.
• Evidence of continuing professional development and up-to-date practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide a comprehensive dietetic service within the Tier 3 Weight Management Service.
• Work with the MDT to screen and manage weight journeys for up to 12 months.
• Contribute to specialist interventions to support weight management and client needs.
• Promote equitable service access and liaise with community and voluntary sectors.
• Input into MDT bi-weekly meetings and deliver individual education as appropriate.
• Engage in quality assurance and participate in service development activities.

Education

Degree in Dietetics

HCPC registered

Independent prescribing qualification (desirable)
