Job summary

University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 7 Sonographer at Heartlands Hospital in Birmingham. You will perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations across clinical specialties to support patient diagnosis and treatment.

Qualifications

• Education to degree level with postgraduate ultrasound accreditation.
• State registration with HCPC/NMC or RCT when eligible.
• NHS ultrasound experience required.
• Understanding of ethics and patient communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage workload and produce independent ultrasound reports.
• Train and supervise trainees in ultrasound.
• Develop ultrasound protocols and participate in audits.
• Contribute to research and service development.
• Promote imaging standards and maintain patient safety.
