Job summary

Surrey Downs Health and Care is seeking a Diabetes Specialist Nurse to join the community diabetes service based at Leatherhead. You will work with DSNs, dietitians and consultants to deliver high-quality diabetes care in the community and hospital settings.

You will provide specialist nursing in diabetes, educate patients, supervise junior staff, and participate in service development within the multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Educated to Degree/Masters level or equivalent.
• Post-registration qualification in Diabetes (e.g. ENB 928, Warwick).
• Evidence of UK nursing registration.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality diabetes nursing care within the community and hospital settings.
• Lead and support diabetes care within the multidisciplinary team.
• Educate patients and carers, and contribute to diabetes service development.
• Supervise junior staff and ensure adherence to clinical governance and patient safety.
