Job summary

North Devon District Hospital is seeking a Consultant in Diabetes and Endocrinology to provide senior medical cover on the general medical take and inpatient wards, with outpatient clinics in Barnstaple and cross-site MDTs with Exeter. The role offers 10 programmed activities and some scope for remote working, with opportunities for regional meetings and research involvement.

The post requires GMC registration and supports flexible working within NHS arrangements.

Qualifications

• GMC registration is required.
• Eligibility to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior medical cover on the general medical take.
• Provide senior medical cover on inpatient wards.
• Hold outpatient clinics in Barnstaple.
• Take part in cross-site virtual MDTs with Exeter.
• Attend regional network meetings.
• Work virtually where the role allows.
• Contribute to research, service development or teaching.
