Job summary

Experis Austria is recruiting a senior DevSecOps Engineering Lead for a contract role. You will drive secure CI/CD, govern automation and security tooling across Azure, AWS and OCI cloud environments, while guiding distributed teams and collaborating with clients and delivery partners.

Hybrid role with travel to client sites; active SC clearance desired. This position emphasizes security-by-design, compliance, incident response and ongoing improvements to release processes across the digital

Qualifications

• Experience leading DevSecOps across multiple cloud environments.
• Strong hands-on and leadership in CI/CD and GitOps tooling.
• Proven security tooling and vulnerability management experience.
• Experience with containers, orchestration and IaC.
• Familiar with observability and incident response practices.
• Scripting and automation abilities in Python or Bash.
• Cloud fundamentals and security controls in AWS, Azure or OCI.
• Delivered in UK public sector or GDS lifecycle environments.
• Led distributed, hybrid teams and stakeholder engagement.
• Excellent facilitation and communication across levels.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and improve DevSecOps practices across delivery teams.
• Secure CI/CD pipelines and integrate security scanning in workflows.
• Manage vulnerability lifecycles and risk acceptance processes.
• Oversee secrets and identity management; enforce policies.
• Govern IaC and release processes across environments.
• Enhance observability, monitoring, logging and audit controls.
• Collaborate with developers to embed secure-by-design engineering.
• Contribute to incident response, patching and compliance reporting.
• Document security controls and runbooks in Confluence.
