Job summary

Leonardo UK is seeking a Principal DevSecOps Engineer to join the Gloucester team. You will bridge software development, testing, operations and admins to enable continuous, secure software and environment delivery in a hybrid cloud/on‑premise setting.

You will own the build, deployment and automation of secure systems, lead DevSecOps practices, and work with stakeholders to improve efficiency and security across the cyber division.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated DevSecOps leadership in secure or regulated environments.
• Experience leading DevSecOps toolchains and practices.
• Mentoring other DevSecOps engineers and driving continuous improvement.
• Advanced IaC experience with Terraform and Ansible for automated builds.
• Strong CI/CD design using GitHub Actions and Jenkins.
• Production Kubernetes administration with secure deployments and Helm.

Responsibilities

• Lead the DevSecOps side of engineering delivery across work packages.
• Plan, estimate, execute and report on own workload and team members.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for secure deployments.
• Implement automation for infrastructure provisioning and configuration.
• Maintain source code management using Git/GitLab/GitHub and branching strategies.
• Ensure high availability and security through monitoring and logging.
• Provide application support for deployed services and data engineering tasks.
