Job summary

Leonardo UK Ltd in Gloucester seeks a Principal DevSecOps Engineer to bridge development, testing, infrastructure and operations within a highly secure environment. You will own CI/CD pipelines, IaC practices and secure deployments across hybrid cloud and on-premise systems.

You will lead, mentor and collaborate with engineering teams, ensure compliance with security regs, and drive automation, monitoring and incident response.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable DevSecOps experience in secure or regulated environments.
• Advanced IaC and automation tooling experience (Terraform & Ansible).
• Strong CI/CD design and implementation (GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Proficiency in Kubernetes security, Helm charts and container orchestration.
• Strong Git and repository management (GitLab/GitHub) with release strategies.
• OS administration and scripting (Linux/Windows).
• Knowledge of Agile methods (SCRUM, BDD, TDD).

Responsibilities

• Lead the DevSecOps delivery across multiple packages and environments.
• Plan, implement and steward CI/CD pipelines for secure deployments.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and environment builds.
• Maintain software configuration management and CI/CD tooling.
• Ensure high availability and security through monitoring and logging.
• Provide operational support and collaborate with stakeholders and end users.
