Job summary

Leonardo UK is seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to act as the technical authority across programmes, shaping architectures and DevOps roadmaps. You will guide automation, secure delivery, and CI/CD strategies, while mentoring senior and junior engineers to raise capability.

Qualifications

• Must have expert knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation.
• Deep expertise in containerization and orchestration across environments.
• Strong cloud experience (AWS/Azure) and hybrid deployments.
• Experience embedding DevSecOps and security controls into pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical authority for DevOps across programmes and shape architectures.
• Define and influence DevOps roadmaps, automation, and delivery strategies.
• Mentor engineers across levels to raise capability in DevOps practices.
• Represent Leonardo in customer reviews, bids, and technical forums.
