Job summary

JPMorganChase’s Chase UK unit seeks a Software Engineer III to join the Cloud Platform Engineering tribe within the Compliance Platform Engineering team. You will embed security into software, design guardrails, and build tooling for continuous visibility of security posture across AWS environments.

You will work with platform engineers, product squads, and risk teams to address risks, with focus on DevSecOps, secure coding, and policy enforcement in a regulated cloud-native environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in a DevSecOps, cloud security or compliance platform role.
• Praxis in threat modelling for cloud services or distributed systems.
• Knowledge of AWS security services (IAM, CloudTrail, GuardDuty, Security Hub, KMS).
• Experience building security automation with Python/Go/Bash.
• Infra-as-code with Terraform; Kubernetes in production.
• Familiarity with PCI-DSS, ISO 27001 or NIST frameworks.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools with critical evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Threat modelling of platform services and cloud infrastructure with remediation guidance.
• Design and implement cloud security guardrails and policy-as-code controls.
• Build automation to detect and report security findings and compliance posture in AWS.
• Assess vulnerabilities and prioritize remediation with risk context.
• Contribute to software supply chain security and dependency governance.
• Support audit evidence collection and policy adherence with risk teams.
• Operate runtime security tooling and incident response activities including triage.
