Job summary

Randstad Technologies Recruitment is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer in Cardiff on a hybrid arrangement (50% office, 50% remote). The role focuses on multi-cloud environments (Azure and AWS), IaC with Terraform, and containerisation, with leadership responsibilities for junior engineers.

You will contribute to cloud, infrastructure, and delivery initiatives, and have opportunities in Generative AI projects, while maintaining a strong emphasis on security and networking.

Qualifications

• Strong experience managing public cloud services across Azure or AWS at enterprise scale.
• Terraform and IaC experience for infrastructure provisioning.
• Experience leading and mentoring junior DevOps Engineers.
• Technical leadership / responsibility for delivery.
• Broad experience across Cloud, Infrastructure, Development, Delivery.
• GitLab for CI/CD workflows.
• Networking Knowledge: cloud networking, DNS, and secure VPN configurations.
• Must be eligible for SC Clearance - 5 years in the UK, no criminal record etc
• Growth Mindset: interest in serverless and AI advancements.

Senior DevOps Engineer

Location: Cardiff (Hybrid - 50% Office / 50% Remote)

Salary: Circa 70,000 to 90,000 + 10% bonus

The Opportunity

Are you a technically versatile problem-solver, passionate about cloud infrastructure and automation? We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join an enterprise scale cloud services provider in Cardiff.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior / lead engineer to deepen their expertise in multi-cloud environments (Azure & AWS), Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and containerisation. You will also lead and mentor more junior engineers within a collaborative culture that prioritises innovation-including early-stage projects in Generative AI.
