Job summary

Circle Group seeks an experienced DevOps/SRE engineer to own and evolve our DevOps strategy in a busy Manchester environment. You will design and implement CI/CD pipelines, automate infrastructure, and ensure reliability at scale across cloud and on‑prem assets.

You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, promote agile ways of working, and drive proactive improvements in monitoring, incident response, and disaster recovery. A competitive benefits package accompanies the role.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in a similar DevOps/SRE role in complex IT environments.
• Proficient in AWS and DevOps practices with CI/CD and IaC tooling.
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash or PowerShell.
• Experience with monitoring and logging (ELK, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Knowledge of agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and collaboration in teams.

Salary: £70,000 - 70,000 per year

Requirements:

• Solid experience in a similar role, working on DevOps or SRE initiatives within complex IT environments with Software Engineering.
• Experience in an AWS environment.
• Proficiency in DevOps practices and related technologies, such as CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, or Bicep.
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban, and experience working in agile teams.
• Excellent knowledge of the AWS cloud platform.
• Solid scripting and automation skills, using languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools, such as ELK Stack, Prometheus, or Grafana, to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Linux experience would be a bonus.
