Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Software Engineer III – DevOps/AWS Engineer to join the Payments Technology group within Commercial & Investment Bank. You will design and deliver secure, scalable technology products and lead critical technology solutions across multiple areas to support business objectives.

You will drive enterprise AI-assisted engineering practices, automate testing, and ensure secure coding standards while contributing reusable patterns to the team.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with applied experience.
• Strong CI/CD and release management experience with tools such as Jules, Jenkins, and Spinnaker.
• Hands-on DevOps with Kubernetes and Docker, including deployment automation.
• Deep AWS experience across compute, storage, networking, security, provisioning, and automation.
• Terraform for infrastructure provisioning, including AWS RDS/Aurora.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver creative software solutions, including development and technical troubleshooting.
• Develop secure, high-quality production code and review others' code for reliability and performance.
• Drive adoption of enterprise AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
• Apply SDLC toolchain knowledge to increase automation value.
• Identify recurring issues and lead efforts to eliminate root causes or automate remediation.
• Lead evaluation sessions with vendors/internal teams to assess designs and fit within existing architecture.
• Build scalable feature engineering and data pipelines on Databricks using Spark/Delta workflows/jobs.
