About the role

As a DevOps Engineer at Ascent, you will drive the evolution of DevOps culture across diverse customer projects. You will join our team of experts, supporting digital transformation initiatives or optimizing existing systems within cross-functional teams.

Skills and qualifications

• Excellent communication and presentation skills suitable for senior-level stakeholder engagements.
• Experience facilitating requirements gathering and explaining cloud infrastructure architecture options.
• Strong customer service orientation with an understanding of how technology solutions deliver business value.
• Knowledge of software and data engineering technologies, practices, and common architectural patterns.
• At least 5 years of experience in development or operations, including 2 years in a DevOps role, with exposure to Microsoft Azure, Kubernetes, and Agile methodologies.
• Deep knowledge of Microsoft Azure PaaS services, including Azure App Services, SQL Database, Storage Accounts, and integration services.
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform, Azure Bicep, or Pulumi, and deploying large-scale platforms using a code-first approach.
• Proficiency with version control and automation platforms such as Azure DevOps or GitHub, including automation pipeline development.
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash and PowerShell, especially with Azure CLI and Azure PowerShell.
• At least 2 years of experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native projects, particularly Azure Kubernetes Service or Azure Container Apps.
