A DevOps Engineer is responsible for applying software engineering principles to infrastructure and operations challenges, ensuring that the payment orchestration is scalable, reliable, and efficient. Their role encompasses tasks such as deploying software, ensuring system reliability, and optimizing system performance and scalability.
Responsibilities (Must-Have Skills):
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Extensive experience in designing and managing complex infrastructure using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation. Responsible for setting best practices and ensuring high scalability and maintainability.
- Software Deployment: Lead the design and implementation of automated CI/CD pipelines. Deep understanding of deployment processes, ensuring efficiency and reliability. Mentoring junior team members is a plus.
- Monitoring and Logging: Develop comprehensive monitoring and logging strategies. Select relevant metrics, set up dashboards, and establish alert mechanisms.
- Incident Management: Lead diagnosis and resolution of complex system issues. Participate in post-mortem analyses and drive improvements to prevent future incidents.
- Optimization: Deep understanding of system performance. Identify and implement high-impact optimizations, including code refactoring, server tuning, and database optimization.
- Security: Own platform security, conduct security audits, collaborate with cybersecurity experts, and implement advanced security measures.
- Effective Communications: Convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and provide clear guidance to team members.
- On-Standby Responsiveness: Be available to respond promptly to issues and system-related matters. Collaborate with other teams for troubleshooting and resolution.

- Advanced scripting and programming skills for automation.
- Cloud experience (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Familiarity with configuration management tools.
- Knowledge of database administration and optimization.
