Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our United Kingdom team in a remote working mode. You will lead cloud migration initiatives, design CI/CD pipelines, and enforce DevOps best practices to drive reliability and scale.

You will collaborate with global teams to deliver secure, high-performing infrastructure, automate processes with Bash and Python, and implement IaC using tools like GitLab, Jenkins, and Ansible. This role offers autonomy and strong growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 4–8+ years of experience in DevOps or infrastructure engineering.
• Expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) administration and Unix/Linux troubleshooting.
• Advanced scripting skills in Bash and Python for automation.
• Practical experience with CI/CD tools like GitLab, Jenkins, and configuration management using Ansible.
• Strong knowledge of Git and branching strategies.
• Hands-on experience managing system lifecycles, patching, and security hardening.
• Familiarity with both on-premises and cloud infrastructure environments.
• Proficiency in analyzing system issues and conducting root cause resolution.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to engage stakeholders effectively.
• Strong ownership mindset and ability to work independently.

• Awareness of relational databases, including Oracle
