Job summary

NPAworldwide is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join a growing, mission-led technology consultancy delivering secure, modern software solutions to the UK Government and Defence sector. You will design, build, and support cloud infrastructure and automation to enable engineering teams to deliver at scale.

You will automate deployments, optimise cloud platforms, and collaborate with engineers to improve platform reliability and security across AWS, Azure, and private clouds.

Qualifications

  • Commercial experience building, deploying, and supporting secure production systems.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Azure.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery practices.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code and infrastructure automation.
  • Knowledge of containers, orchestration, and cloud-native architectures.
  • Experience working across the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Comfortable working in Agile environments using Scrum or Kanban.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.

  • Build and operate shared platform services for deployment, monitoring, observability, and operational support.

  • Collaborate with software engineers, architects, and delivery teams to improve automation, security, and platform reliability.
  • Monitor system health, performance, and availability while proactively identifying opportunities for optimisation.
  • Contribute to DevOps best practices, continuous improvement initiatives, and engineering standards.

The Role

As a DevOps Engineer, you’ll work within small, high-performing agile teams, enabling the successful delivery of secure, scalable, and resilient applications. You’ll play a key role in improving engineering efficiency by automating infrastructure, streamlining deployments, and building robust cloud platforms that support the full software development lifecycle.

What You’ll Be Doing
