Job summary

Informa TechTarget in London is seeking a DevOps/Cloud Engineer to manage Windows workloads in AWS, implement IaC with Terraform, and maintain CI/CD pipelines.

You will monitor with CloudWatch and Datadog, respond to security events, and collaborate with product engineering to deliver reliable deployments, automation, and incident response. This on-site role includes on-call rotations and opportunities to drive long‑term improvements, with flexible work-from-home options where appropriate.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Systems Engineering.
• Strong hands‑on experience with AWS in production environments.
• Proven experience managing Windows Server infrastructure (preferably in AWS).
• Experience with patching, vulnerability remediation, and security event handling.
• Strong experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform strongly preferred).
• Strong scripting skills in PowerShell.
• Experience with monitoring, alerting, and troubleshooting production systems.
• Ability to collaborate closely with engineering teams and support production workloads.

Job description

This role is based in our 240 Blackfriars, London office.

What You'll Do

• Manage and operate Windows Server environments in AWS (EC2), ensuring high availability and performance
• Own patching, vulnerability management, and system hardening processes across Windows workloads
• Monitor and respond to security events, working closely with security teams to remediate risks
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support consistent, reliable application deployments
• Implement and improve Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or similar tools
• Develop automation using PowerShell and scripting to reduce manual operational overhead
• Design and maintain monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to ensure system health
• Partner with product engineering teams to troubleshoot application and infrastructure issues
• Support releases and ensure smooth deployment processes across environments
• Participate in on-call rotations and act as an escalation point for production incidents
• Lead or contribute to incident response and post-mortems, driving long‑term improvements

What We're Looking For

Nice to Have

• Experience with Active Directory integration in AWS (Managed AD, AD Connector)
• Familiarity with Sitecore CMS, other .NET applications and IIS in production
• Experience with AWS Systems Manager (SSM) for patching and automation
• Exposure to containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes)
• Experience with Datadog or OpenTelemetry-based observability
• Understanding of FinOps and cloud cost optimisation
