As a key member of a DevOps Team, you’ll work to build and maintain infrastructure and platforms both on-premise Linux systems and in the cloud. You’ll support the migration of key applications to cloud-hosted services, working within empowered teams to understand, maintain, and improve our complex application estate.

Using Agile methodologies, you’ll be encouraged to find innovative solutions. You’ll have ownership and responsibility aligned with your skills, while also developing professionally. This journey allows you to influence our direction and deepen your knowledge of recent DevOps and platform technologies.

The things you’ll achieve

• Work within agile teams to deliver projects and features.
• Automate build and deployment processes on-premise and in the cloud.
• Automate configuration and deployment of system environments.
• Handle 2nd and 3rd line support issues.
• Participate in Out-of-Hours Support rota (additional pay).
• Fix faults following established procedures.
• Ensure quality assurance through personal responsibility and automated methods.
• Help define business processes, user experiences, and technical standards.
• Contribute to improving efficiency, stability, and adaptability of our systems.

Your experience should include:

• 4+ years of industry experience.
• Experience with Linux upgrades and support.
• Software engineering experience, preferably with Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• Experience with cloud migration, preferably Azure.
• Proficiency with source control, preferably Git.

Desirable skills include:

• Infrastructure as Code tools like Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK.
• Containerization with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Awareness of testing tools like Playwright or Cypress.
