What Is the Opportunity?

We’re looking for a Senior Development Underwriter to help grow our Professions book. You will work with senior team members to set strategy, write new and renewal business, collaborate with colleagues, and act as a local expert and mentor.

What Will You Do?

• Underwrite and assess risk, make decisions within authority, and recommend actions.
• Underwrite complex accounts, consider different risk approaches to maximize profitability.
• Negotiate terms and conditions, ensure documentation standards are met.
• Develop and execute sales plans, build broker/client relationships, and identify new business opportunities.
• Maintain high customer service standards and work towards strategic objectives.
• Ensure compliance with standards and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in team meetings and collaborate across departments.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

• University degree and/or CII Advanced Certification or Diploma preferred.
• Knowledge of industry operations, local insurance marketplace, and financial drivers.
• Experience in underwriting professional indemnity.
• Relationship management, analytical thinking, and technical proficiency.

What is a Must Have?
