Job summary

Global Payments is seeking a senior leader to oversee development and delivery of a portfolio of high-availability payment gateway applications. You will guide engineering teams across design, development, testing, deployment, and production support, ensuring regulatory compliance and platform resilience.

You will partner with product, security, risk and operations to meet client needs, drive technical debt reduction, and improve delivery throughput in a fast-growing payments environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Worldpay and GlobalPayments products and payment gateway capabilities.
• Experience in application development, software engineering, architecture, QA, production support and client delivery practices.
• Familiarity with regulated tech environments (PCI, security, risk, compliance).
• Understanding of cloud, platform and DevOps principles (CI/CD, observability, automation).
• Strong project management, organization, communication and stakeholder leadership.
• Ability to lead under pressure across high-availability tech environments.
• Ability to translate client and business needs into engineering priorities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage development and client delivery for a portfolio of applications.
• Lead teams delivering design, development, testing, and deployment across platforms.
• Oversee lifecycle: planning, design, delivery, testing, release readiness and production support.
• Coordinate with product managers, security, risk and compliance teams to meet requirements.
• Manage resources, performance, and development across managers and engineers.
