Job summary

Bimplus, Ellesmere Port, is seeking an experienced Development Engineer to join our Technical team. You will oversee the design, coordination and delivery of infrastructure across residential developments in the Northern Region, ensuring technical standards and budgets are met.

Key duties include coordinating highways, drainage, utilities, and landscaping; managing external consultants; and guiding Section 38/104 adoption processes with local authorities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Development Engineer or Senior Engineer in residential construction.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure design and adoption processes (S38, S104).
• Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary teams and consultants.
• Degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Review, manage, and coordinate technical design aspects including highways, drainage, utilities/services, groundworks, and landscaping & infrastructure.
• Oversee external consultants to ensure outputs meet required standards.
• Manage and track Section 38 / Section 104 adoption processes.
• Liaise with authorities, consultants, and contractors to meet standards and budget constraints.
• Provide technical support during pre-construction and construction phases.
