Job summary

CreateFuture is seeking a Senior .NET Engineer to maintain, modernise, and evolve a portfolio of critical applications in a regulated, enterprise setting. You will operate across legacy .NET Framework and modern .NET, with a focus on pragmatic modernization while balancing operational risk and business priorities.

The role requires hands-on technical leadership, collaboration with architects and stakeholders, and a hybrid model based in Glasgow.

Qualifications

Senior engineer with .NET experience in enterprise environments.
Experience across modern .NET and legacy .NET Framework.
Strong AWS cloud experience.
Robust knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and engineering automation.
Experience in complex enterprise environments and stakeholder management.
Ability to work effectively in hybrid delivery teams.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, maintain, and improve applications using .NET and AWS.
Work across legacy and modern tech stacks to evolve services.
Analyse applications to identify simplification and modernisation opportunities.
Contribute to cloud platform improvements and AWS initiatives.
Design and implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
Support DevOps practices and automation across the SDLC.
Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to deliver practical solutions.
Balance technical improvement with delivery objectives.
Promote best practices in maintainability and long-term support.
Support knowledge transfer and documentation where needed.
