Job summary

Autodesk, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and build a reusable Electron and Chromium-based desktop platform for Autodesk web applications.

In this hands-on individual contributor role, you will own complex areas of the desktop runtime, contribute to technical design decisions, guide implementation across Electron, Chromium, Node.js, and Windows, and help establish the engineering practices required to operate the platform reliably.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js development.
• Experience developing Electron/Chromium-based apps and systems-level platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and own major areas of the Electron desktop platform.
• Configure and integrate the Chromium runtime, upgrades, and feature flags.
• Develop Windows/native integrations and APIs for desktop guidance and capabilities.
• Contribute to architecture, security design, and engineering standards.
• Mentor engineers, review work, and coordinate with partner teams.
