As Senior Designer, you will drive innovation, lead design projects from concept through production, and ensure all work is delivered to the highest standards. You will also act as a brand ambassador, building strong client relationships and representing Knots Rugs at key industry events.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Deep knowledge of colour theory, design principles, and current trends.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work confidently in repeat, scale, and complex colour layouts.
  • Proven ability to lead projects from inception to delivery.
  • Excellent creative problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Textiles, or related field.
  • 5+ years in a senior design role, ideally within rugs or textiles.
  • A portfolio demonstrating previous work, concepts, and design methodology.
Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with artists and translating their artwork into hand‑knotted rug designs.
  • Developing new in‑house designs and full collections.
  • Experimenting with materials, textures, and weaving techniques.
  • Working directly with interior designers, retail clients, and international partners to bring projects to life.
