Qualifications

Role: Senior Designer

Reporting to: Head of Product

Location: THG HQ, Manchester (WA15 0AF) – Fully Office Based

THG Nutrition: THG Nutrition includes brands such as Myprotein, Myvegan, Myvitamins, and MP Activewear, focused on wellbeing and nutrition. We are seeking a talented and passionate Design Manager to shape the future of our activewear range.

Responsibilities
  • As a Senior Clothing Designer, create stylish, functional, and high-performance clothing for Men’s and Women’s ranges.
  • Work with the Head of Product to deliver the clothing strategy and design garments that resonate with the target audience.
  • Collaborate with product, design, and marketing teams, managing the entire design process from concept to production.
  • Design innovative, trend-led collections reflecting MP’s brand ethos and appeal to the active customer base.
  • Research trends, fabrics, and technologies to ensure designs are current, relevant, and functional for performance wear.
  • Collaborate with product development to meet technical and production requirements (fit, functionality, material selection).
  • Create sketches, technical drawings, and detailed specifications to guide production.
  • Present design concepts to stakeholders, incorporate feedback, and refine designs accordingly.
  • Understand product development timelines and critical path milestones.
  • Work with buying teams to select materials and support sustainability and cost-efficiency targets.
  • Stay up-to-date with competitor activity, influencers, and industry trends to maintain leadership in activewear.
  • Assist with fittings and collaborate with production to ensure high execution standards.
Qualifications
  • A degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in clothing design, preferably in activewear, sportswear, or fashion.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing design work in performance/activewear.
  • Excellent knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, and technical design.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and other design software.
  • Ability to balance creativity with commercial awareness, designing stylish and functional garments.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Passion for activewear and understanding of modern consumer needs.
