Job summary

Sheffield Inclusion Centre is seeking a dedicated Designated Safeguarding Lead to drive safeguarding across our school and multi-site provision in Sheffield. You will lead on strategy, policy development and staff training to keep children safe and supported.

Advanced safeguarding training and experience with Child Protection and Looked After Children are essential. Driving licence is advantageous as the role covers multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Advanced Safeguarding training or equivalent is essential.
• Experience in Child Protection and working with vulnerable pupils.
• Confident and highly organised with ability to coordinate across sites.
• Driving licence is advantageous for multi-site work in Sheffield.

Responsibilities

• Lead safeguarding oversight and daily management of child protection matters.
• Develop, implement and review safeguarding policies and training.
• Lead safeguarding discussions with the Headteacher and external agencies.
• Coordinate trauma-informed responses and support for pupils.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders and staff, providing guidance.
• Ensure compliance with Keeping Children Safe in Education and related frameworks.
• Work across multiple sites within Sheffield and manage a busy workload.
