Job summary

Bimplus in Bristol is seeking a Senior Design Manager / Technical Manager to lead design coordination for a busy Tier 1 main contractor. You will work with the Design Director, mentor staff, review tender inputs, and oversee design progress across multiple live projects.

The role requires building sector knowledge, a relevant qualification, and prior experience as a Design Co-ordinator or D&B Manager. Experience on residential, apartment, student accommodation or hotel schemes is desirable.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the building sector and construction processes.
• Experience as a Design Co-ordinator, D&B Coordinator or Design Manager.
• Experience on residential, apartment blocks, student accommodation and hotel projects.
• Relevant industry qualification (Degree/HND/HNC).

Responsibilities

• Support the Design Director in staff development and technical matters.
• Assist in technical evaluation of tenders and appointment of consultants.
• Provide cover for projects and monitor progress with project teams.
• Ensure timely issue of information for building control, planning and client submissions.
