NW Construction is seeking a Senior Design Manager to lead design activity on utilities and civil projects in the North West. The role spans preconstruction, delivery and aftercare, with mentoring of the design team and ensuring adherence to specifications.

You should be commercially aware with value engineering experience, IT literacy, and strong verbal and written communication skills. Hybrid working is available for this position.

Qualifications

• Experience as Design Manager or Senior Design Manager on utilities & civil engineering schemes.
• Commercially aware with understanding of value engineering.
• IT literate with good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Control design activity on utilities projects through preconstruction, delivery and aftercare phases.
• Provide advice on design risk to the commercial, planning, operations and client teams.
• Produce, agree and manage realistic design programs.
• Ensure the delivery team work to the correct specifications.
• Mentor members of the design team.
