Job summary

Browne Group in the United Kingdom seeks a Senior Design Manager to lead consistency, quality and innovation across our UK design operations. You will embed best-practice management processes, performance frameworks and reporting standards to deliver high-quality outcomes for clients and the organisation.

The role combines strategic oversight with hands-on leadership, mentoring Design Managers, and stepping in on key schemes when required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years’ experience in design management, with exposure to water and wastewater projects.
• Proven leadership of multidisciplinary design teams or regional design functions.
• Experience balancing strategic oversight with hands-on project delivery.
• Strong background in establishing and managing design performance frameworks.
• In-depth understanding of CDM regulations and health and safety integration in design.

Responsibilities

• Lead consistency, quality and innovation across UK design operations.
• Embed best-practice design management processes, performance frameworks and reporting standards.
• Provide hands-on leadership to multidisciplinary teams on key schemes when required.
• Mentor and develop Design Managers to elevate the design function.
• Collaborate across regions and locations to ensure alignment with client expectations and organisational goals.
