Senior Design Manager

Chelmsford, Essex

Full time, Permanent position

Our welcoming client has a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Design Manager who will work within their cladding remediation division.

Role:

In this role, you will lead the facade design on projects, delivering innovative, cost-effective solutions, ensuring compliance, and fostering strong client relationships. You will drive project success through intelligent design, coordination, and proactive management to exceed expectations and achieve cost savings.

Responsibilities:

1. Overall responsibility for design on the project
2. Develop robust, cost-effective, and buildable design solutions for each area
3. Proactively manage the Design House and other design partners
4. Produce technical submissions
5. Deliver approval, construction issue, production, and installation information
6. Coordinate with other trades, surveys, and supply chain
7. Check drawings and production information
8. Manage samples process
9. Ensure compliance with Building Regulations and relevant standards
10. Manage IRS, RFI's, and Comment Tracker proactively
11. Serve as point of contact for the site team and ensure timely query resolution
12. Manage the design programme
13. Build and maintain excellent relationships with clients, architects, consultants, and main contractors
14. Contribute to design meetings
15. Demonstrate cost savings in each design

Experience:

Experience as a Facade Design Manager or Senior Facade Manager within facades.
