We're looking for a Senior Design Manager to join our Natural Resources team, working from home and the Falmer office in East Sussex. You will be working on our new 7-year, cGBP1bn framework with Southern Water.

Contract

Permanent, Full Time - flexible and part-time hours may be available if desired, just let us know

Responsibilities

As a Senior Design Manager in our NRNN business unit, you will work on Water and Wastewater capital projects across the Southern Water area. Your role involves leading and managing engineering design delivery for assigned projects, and spearheading the engineering assurance process for designs prepared by partners at outline design and Capital Delivery phases.

• Develop strategies considering various alternatives to find the best solution.
• Engage with clients to ensure design solutions are fully understood and leverage asset management experience to offer solutions.
• Act as the main point of contact with design consultants at director level to ensure technical performance standards are met.
• Lead and manage engineering design delivery for projects.
• Provide expert support during design, construction, and commissioning phases, from project definition to handover.

• Chartered Engineer status with a degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline.
• Proven experience in engineering design, construction, and management.
• Experience managing multi-disciplinary technical teams and driving performance.
