Are you a Senior Design Manager looking for an opportunity to join a market-leading Tier 1 contractor working on education projects throughout Yorkshire?

Due to continued growth, my client is seeking an experienced Senior Design Manager to join their close-knit team working on the Department of Education framework across Yorkshire and surrounding areas. As a Senior Design Manager, you will work closely with the Head of Design, Pre-Construction Director, Technical Director, and Divisional teams, managing the overall design process from tender stage through to design completion.

You will be responsible for ensuring all designs meet required standards and are delivered on time and within budget. Collaboration with project teams to ensure design coordination across disciplines, liaising with clients and stakeholders to meet requirements, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards are key aspects of the role.

Responsibilities of a Senior Design Manager

1. Management and delivery of design information according to the agreed programme and schedule.
2. Ensuring appointed design consultants perform in line with their contracts, with compliance checks on their outputs.
3. Providing design input during pre-construction and construction phases.
4. Producing design programmes, scopes, responsibility matrices, appointments, and schedules.
5. Attending and chairing meetings and workshops with internal and external stakeholders.
