Position: Senior Design Manager / Design Manager

BAM Construction is recruiting a Senior Design Manager / Design Manager to join the northern region. Reporting to the Regional Design Manager, you will oversee the design management discipline, digital discipline, and establish strategies for new opportunities during pre-construction.

Your responsibilities

• Manage the design process to deliver technically compliant, cost-efficient, and coordinated design packages during pre-construction and project delivery stages.
• Liaise with subcontractors, design team members, and external consultants to meet client requirements and conform to building regulations.
• Oversee various contract types and multiple projects, managing design information release, technical drawing approval, and coordinating complex design packages.
• Provide technical support and guidance, working closely with clients and project teams to identify risks and ensure statutory, legal, and planning compliance.
• Assist in selecting and scoping suitable subcontractors for Contractor Design Portions and working drawings.
