Job Description: Senior Design Manager

I am assisting a leading Tier 1 contractor in the search for a Senior Design Manager to join the team in Kent.

Responsibilities:

1. Work within the regional build team to support building projects.
2. Manage and deliver design information according to the agreed design programme and schedule.
3. Ensure appointed design consultants perform their duties in line with their appointments.
4. Contribute at both pre-construction and construction stages of projects.
5. Produce design programmes, scopes, responsibility matrices, appointments, schedules, and conduct progress reporting, meetings, and workshops.
6. Ensure design compliance with relevant legislation and technical standards.

Candidate Requirements:

• Experience as a Design/Senior Manager with regional or national contractors.
• Experience managing design activities during tender and construction phases.
• Deep understanding of construction processes and materials.
• Knowledge of current design, planning legislation, and compliance issues.
