Job summary

AECOM is seeking a senior Design Management professional to lead the Design Management Team in the UK with a focus on delivering high-quality projects across the UK and internationally. The role involves mentoring team members, managing budgets, and implementing DM procedures to ensure contractual compliance.

You will work with leadership on business planning, professional development, and cross-project coordination, while maintaining design quality and schedule integrity in a hybrid work

Qualifications

• Understanding of the design process.
• Project and design programming skills.
• Experience in development and implementation of design management tools and procedures.
• Commercial awareness of projects.
• Construction knowledge/experience.
• Proficiency in MS Project/Excel/InDesign.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Design Management Team and support leadership.
• Mentor and develop DM team members and review outputs for quality and contractual compliance.
• Develop and implement design management procedures and programmes.
• Prepare responsibility matrices and manage sub-consultant contracts and cash flow projections.
• Lead DM projects across the UK and internationally.
• Contribute to performance management and drive continuous improvement.
