Job summary

United Infrastructure Group in Hemel Hempstead is seeking a Principle Design Lead to provide leadership across multiple residential and mixed-use schemes. You will support Senior Design Managers, drive design coordination, manage risk, and ensure builds meet regulatory and client requirements.

You will take a lead role in bids and design submissions, mentor Design Managers, and oversee design programmes to align with project objectives, budgets, and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating at a senior design management level across multiple residential or mixed-use projects.
• Strong leadership and mentoring of Design Managers.
• Ability to operate across strategic and project-level delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership across multiple projects, supporting Senior Design Managers in delivering coordinated, compliant design solutions.
• Lead and coordinate technical input into bids, including design appraisals and risk identification.
• Mentor and develop Design Managers, providing guidance and technical support.
