Job summary

Omexom UK is seeking a Principal Design Engineer to lead multi-disciplinary design teams. You will manage technical delivery, oversee primary design tasks, and ensure compliance with UK standards. The role requires extensive experience in electrical infrastructure design and strong mentoring abilities.

Responsibilities include design reviews, CAD supervision, and collaboration with clients to ensure on-time, on-budget project delivery within a design management context.

Qualifications

• The candidate shall hold a degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
• EngC/IEng or eligible for Charters with IMechE or IET is preferred.
• 7–10 years in OHL design and construction environments.
• Full UK driving licence is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage design teams on multiple projects, ensuring quality and compliance.
• Review and approve design deliverables and calculations.
• Coordinate with CAD staff, graduates, and other disciplines.
• Provide design assurance and coordinate with clients and stakeholders.
• Ensure CDM 2015 compliance and act as Principal Designer when required.
• Mentor engineers and supervise trainees within the design group.
