Job Advert in Clacton-On-Sea is recruiting a Design Engineer to join a growing manufacturing team. You will manage multiple projects from concept through to completion.

Requirements include over 5 years’ experience, knowledge of DfMA, and proficiency with AutoCAD, SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor. You will lead priorities, coordinate with engineering, project, buying and manufacturing teams, and mentor junior designers. Qualifications

• Good understanding of DfMA principles.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor.
• Track record in managing multiple projects.
• Strong decision making and communication skills.
• Over 5 years' experience as a Design Engineer in manufacturing/engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage project priorities and deliverables.
• Liaise with engineering, project, buying and manufacturing teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide technical guidance and drawing reviews for junior designers.
• Look at continuous improvement methods where possible.
• DfMA across all projects.
• Develop automated design tool models and revisit existing design applications.
