Severn Trent seeks a Senior Design Engineer (Mechanical, Civil or Process) to shape wastewater strategies from feasibility through detailed design. Based in Raynesway (Derby), you will support major projects and bioresources waste treatment design, engaging with stakeholders, consultants and contractors.

You will contribute to asset improvements, data system enhancements, and risk-informed design while ensuring health and safety is embedded in the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified (desirable) and chartered or working towards incorporated status is supported.
• Water industry background is advantageous but not essential.
• Engineering discipline required for this role.

Responsibilities

• Assess and design sewage treatment assets and outline new assets to meet business needs.
• Develop strategies for asset enhancement and inform regulatory submissions.
• Lead investigations and evaluate data to support sound design decisions.
