We are looking for a Senior Design Engineer to join our team and be responsible for providing the design of technical solutions specifically for Severn Trent Water mains renewal programme, such as technical inputs to projects from feasibility, through to detailed design, construction, testing, commissioning, and handover.
As our new Senior Design Engineer, you’ll be responsible as a key point of contact for key stakeholders both internally and externally to understand the scope of the mains renewal schemes and agree design assessment and completion milestones with the programme team.
You will be integral in supporting the wider team and upskilling Assistant Design Engineers and Senior Design Engineers. Alongside approving feasibility assessments for Mains Renewal projects within the specified timelines and budget constraints, utilising both site inspections and data analysis.
For this role the right candidatewill have experience in a similar role providing designs and specifications for Construction. Experience of working to standards, codes and practices. coaching skills and building capability within the Design team. As travel is required, you’ll also have to hold a full U.K driving license.
