Job summary

Murphy is recruiting for a Senior Design Coordinator to join our Infrastructure team, delivering water infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects in partnership with United Utilities, as part of the AMP8 framework.

This role supports the Design Manager to deliver high quality designs to budget and programme, coordinating design packages, site investigation briefs, and liaising with internal and external teams to produce buildable solutions.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in a design coordination role.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and ProjectWise; strong Microsoft Office skills.
• HND or Engineering Degree.
• Experience in civil engineering design coordination.
• Willingness to travel and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Design Manager to deliver high quality designs to budget and programme.
• Prepare briefs/remits for design packages and for site investigation and survey packages.
• Coordinate with external and internal design and construction teams to deliver integrated designs which are buildable and maintainable.
• Review submissions for quality and compliance with design standards.
• Update design trackers on an ongoing basis; produce minutes and agendas for Design Review Meetings.
• Assist wider engineering team with engineering input and sketches/drawings.
